About the Method

Reframing your past, Revisioning your future

What is Psychosynthesis?

Psychosynthesis Coaching promotes the ongoing process of integrating all the parts, aspects, and energies of an individual into a harmonious, powerful whole. The coach and client co-create to discover the client’s core values and goals. Coach and client work as allies to merge the conscious and the unconscious to become whole and create lasting change.

The process asks the client to show up fully, but without the old stories and limiting beliefs they have held onto, with the assumption that the important work of processing the past has been done.

Psychosynthesis Coaching is actionable and integrative. The coach assists the client to seek goals that are coming from their authentic self, their best Self, not an old voice from the past. In tandem is the discovery of the old beliefs, the parts of us that no longer assist us. A process of dis-identification occurs, clearing the shame and hatred we might feel for these parts of ourself. Acceptance of our brokenness transforms us. In finding our darkness, it is possible to finally feel complete, to be at peace with our true self.

Dr. Morris moves to the next step, which is discovering the power and effectiveness of who we are, finding meaning and purpose in all aspects of our lives, and creating deep and meaningful change.

“Psychosynthesis is interested in the whole building. We try to build an elevator which will allow a person access to every level of his personality. After all, a building with only a basement is very limited. We want to open up the terrace where you can sun-bathe or look at the stars. Our concern is the synthesis of all areas of the personality. That means psychosynthesis is holistic, global and inclusive. It is not against psychoanalysis or even behavior modification but it insists that the needs for meaning, for higher values, for a spiritual life, are as real as biological or social needs. We deny that there are any isolated human problems.”
